Cara is a painter based in the North West of England. Since leaving University with a degree in Fine Art she has been based at Woodend Mill in Mossley.
Cara's inspiration is taken from abandoned, isolated spaces that are amidst our chaotic society. Rundown mills, disused factories, desolate landscapes are all explored relentlessly by the artist, providing endless source for her paintings. Her paintings are made with an incredible amount of dedication, working through stages of preparation, sanding, rubbing and working over for a period of weeks, possibly months.
Her fascination with paint and the surface can be seen when viewing her closely work yet from a distance there is a fabulous sense of space and depth.
